On this page you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions we get from guests. If you don’t find answers to your questions, you’re more than welcome to contact us on Instagram, email or by phone.
Do you have an overview of your ceramics?
Since we have over 250 different types of ceramics and regularly get new ceramics in, we unfortunately can’t keep up with having an updated list of ceramics. Likewise, we may also be sold out of items, as there are shifts in what’s popular among our guests, but you can see all the ceramics we have in stock in our stores.
Do you have a price list?
We unfortunately don’t have a price list for all our ceramics, but our prices start at 169 kr. and end at 699 kr.
The price depends on what ceramics you want to paint.
Do I need to book a table?
It’s always a good idea to book a table to ensure there’s space for you in our cafés and we can give you the best possible experience.
Can children paint ceramics?
Yes, children can paint ceramics. We have a large selection of ceramics that children can paint, everything from figurines to plates and cups.
Can you eat at the pottery café?
We don’t serve food, but it’s possible to buy something to drink when you sit and paint, as well as a snack. We have several different types of sodas, lemonades, iced tea and coffee to choose from, as well as snacks such as truffles, almonds, chips and much more.

How long do I have to paint my ceramics?
When you paint ceramics with us, you have 2 hours to figure out what type of ceramics you want to paint and to paint your masterpiece.
Can you make foot and hand prints for babies?
Yes, you can. Our paint is approved by the food authority and safe for small hands and feet.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
No, food and drinks may not be brought and consumed in the café according to the food authority’s conditions. However, you can buy snacks and drinks from us in our cafés.
What are your opening hours?
We’re open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 to 18, and Thursday from 10 – 21, though we only stay open from 18 to 21 for table reservations. We’re also open on Saturday from 10 – 16.
There will be different opening hours during holiday periods.
Can you buy gift cards for the pottery café?
Yes, you can buy gift cards for the pottery café both online and physically in our stores. Our gift cards can be used at Gallery Værnhøj and the pottery café in Esbjerg and Randers.
Do I get my ceramics to take home the same day?
No, your ceramics need to be glazed and fired before you can take them home. You’ll receive a text within 14 days, after which you can pick up your ceramics.
How many different types of colors do you have?
We have over 85 different types of paint, in several different shades and colors. Our selection varies depending on what we have in stock.
Can I get the paint off my clothes?
Yes, if it happens that you get paint on your clothes, it can come off in the wash.
Can my ceramics go in the dishwasher?
Yes, your ceramics can go in the dishwasher, though you should be aware that the ceramics can become worn over time. We recommend washing it by hand.
Can my ceramics go in the oven/microwave?
We have a few ceramic items that can handle going in the oven, but feel free to ask in the café which pieces can handle it.
